The 208th Army Band is returning to Kure Beach for a performance on Saturday, June 18th from 7-9pm at the Ocean Front Park stage. The 208th Army Band is based out of Concord, NC. Their mission is to promote the espirit de corps of our fighting forces, and to serve as a goodwill ambassador throughout North and South Carolina. They put on an energetic performance that guarantees a fun evening. Everyone is welcome; bring your beach chair or blanket and enjoy the music.


The Army Band will also be performing at the 3rd Annual Kid’s Music Fest at Ocean Front Park earlier that same day. Kid’s Music Fest, held from 9-11am, is sponsored by the New Hanover County Public Library and contains lots of live entertainment and activities for the young ones.


Boogie in the Park is also going strong on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, May through October. In addition, our weekly summer programs kick off the week of June 16th with the following schedule:

Monday 7-8pm Turtle Talk
Tuesday 8am-1pm Kure Beach Market
Wednesday 10-11:30am Story Time by the Sea
Thursday 6:30-7:30pm Up & Active!
