The Kure Beach Adopt-A-Beach program is going strong, but continues to seek volunteers willing to help keep our beautiful beaches pristine. Currently 16 out of 17 beach areas are adopted, leaving the southernmost section still up for grabs. However, beach areas can be adopted by more than one person or group; the more the merrier. Information on how the program works, the map, and a registration area can be found on the program's website at http://www.kbadoptabeach.com/. The link to the program is also on the town's homepage under Quick Links. Adopting a section of beach is a great way to show your neighborhood pride, gain volunteer hours, or bring your group or organization together. The town, the wildlife and the marine life thank you for keeping the beach (and inevitably the water) free of debris.
