New Hanover County health leaders are asking local residents to improve the health of our community by participating in the 2015 New Hanover County Health Survey.
Conducted every three – four years, the New Hanover County Health Survey is part of a larger health planning process to identify the health status, disparities, gaps and unmet needs of the community in balance with community resources, strengths and perceptions. Beginning in June and continuing through the summer, the New Hanover County Health Department, in collaboration with UNCW College of Health & Human Services, will be surveying more than 3,500 adult County residents.
The results of the survey will be used to:
- Better understand the respond to current and emerging health needs in the community
- Develop new policies
- Improve existing health programs and services; and
- Plan prioritize and target resources
The online survey and additional information is available online at www.surveyNHC.com. Paper copies are also available at all New Hanover County Library branches. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and it is completely confidential and anonymous.
By answering the survey, you will have done your part to improve health for everyone in our county. Please remember to share this information with your family and friends.
