Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment is a state mandated body that operates on a level between the enforcement officers and the courts. Appeals to a denial of a building permit by a Building Inspector or a request for a variance from the zoning ordinance is heard by the Board of Adjustment.

 

The Board of Adjustment consists of five (5) members and two (2) alternatives appointed by the Town Council.
Members serve three (3) terms.

 

Applications for an appeal or variance may be directed to either the Building Inspector or Town Clerk’s office.

Meetings & hearings are held the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7 pm at Town Hall in the Council room, if business is before the Board.

 

Transcripts are available for viewing by contacting the Building Inspector or the Town Clerk.
