BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE


Meetings: 2nd Monday of each month, 4:00pm at Town Hall.


Purpose: The Beautification Committee will develop, promote, and assist in the implementation of programs that enhance the appearance of the Town of Kure Beach. This consists of the following activities: provide leadership and coordination for beautification efforts being developed by various community and business organizations; develop landscaping and other appearance oriented plans for town properties and public right of ways; recommend ordinances and programs that improve the appearance and desirability of the town; provide counsel to Kure Beach Town Officials in the areas of enforcement of new or existing ordinances that enhance beautification; promote public interest in maintaining and improving the appearance of Kure Beach (this includes, but is not limited to, beach cleanup, boardwalk and beach access appearance, and the general prevention of trash accumulation); develop award programs and other incentives to encourage resident, business owner, and visitor participation in municipal beautification; develop yearly budget for town council approval; and seek any applicable grants to fund beautification projects.
