SHORELINE ACCESS AND PARKING (SLAP) COMMITTEE
Meetings: 1st Tuesday of every month, 5:00pm at Town Hall.
Purpose: The Shoreline Access and Parking Committee will plan for development and maintenance of public beach access sites within the Town limits; prepare grant requests to outside agencies to support access development, maintenance and improvement; make recommendations to Town Council on parking, to include revised ordinances, traffic patterns and designation of parking areas; implement the provisions of the Kure Beach Shoreline Access Plan under the guidance of the Town Council.
Organization: 8 members; 3-year term. This committee evolved from the Kure Beach Parking Committee with an expanded charter. The Committee was created following adoption of the Town of Kure Beach Shoreline Access Plan.
