STORMWATER & ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE


Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of every month, 4:00pm at Town Hall.


Mission Statement: The mission of the Kure Beach Stormwater Committee is to assist Town Council and Staff to protect, maintain and enhance the public health, safety, environment and general welfare by providing assistance in developing and implementing Stormwater projects and activities. This includes work required to meet legal requirements imposed by various governmental agencies as well as Town of Kure Beach Ordinances, public education and outreach projects and structural Stormwater projects incorporating Stormwater best management practices (BMP's) where practical.


Organization: 5 members and 1 alternate. 3-year, staggered term. Established May 2006.
