The Public Works Department is committed to providing professional and quality services to the citizens of Kure Beach. Our mission is to operate and maintain all divisions safely and in compliance with State and Federal Rules and Regulations, to give property owners, residents and businesses the best possible service for their money, and to make Kure Beach as easy to live in as it is to look at. The department's employees are very efficient, knowledgeable and hard working.
Public Works duties include:
Water
This division’s pledge is to produce good quality, safe drinking water to the residents and visitors of the Town of Kure Beach while continuing to improve and upgrade its system for the future. The water system consists of approximately 15 miles of transition line, close to 2,000 water connections, 5 wells (soon to be 6) and a 300,000 gallon elevated water tower.
