Our fun and exciting street festival, held on Saturday, April 26th, from 11:00am until Fireworks, has come and gone, and a great time was had by ALL!

The weather was perfect, the food was “deliciouso,” the beer was ICE COLD, our arts and craft booths were better than ever, and the FIREWORKS at the end of it all were simply SPECTACULAR! Most of all, our five LIVE bands were STUPENDOUS! The joint was jumpin’, that’s for sure, with people of all ages dancing and “groovin’” to the music.

THE KURE BEACH ANNUAL STREET FESTIVAL COMMITTEE would like to thank all of its food and craft vendors, as well as its musical ENTERTAINMENT for their time, energy and creativity. You were GREAT!

**VENDORS AND MUSICAL GROUPS: tune into this webpage at the beginning of January 2009 to sign up again for next year’s festival. We were so glad to hear your success stories, and we thank you for helping us with ours.

The committee also thanks its volunteers who went above and beyond the call of duty: the festival Marshals; those who helped at the Kid’s Korner and the Kure Beach Committee booths; and our Town Council for “MCing” the bands.

Thanks to the Public Works, Police & Fire staff for all of your hard work and for providing us with a clean and safe environment in which to hold our festival. We couldn’t have done it without you!
