Legislative Hearing - Land Use Plan

Legislative Hearing on November 21st at 5:30 PM to review the draft Kure Beach Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The meeting will be held at 117 Settlers Lane Kure Beach, NC 28449. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend. The plan will serve as Town’s official CAMA plan in addition to serving as official planning document adopted in accordance with NCGS Chapter 160D for planning and zoning purposes. Following the Legislative hearing, the Town of Kure Beach will consider adoption of the draft plan. Once adopted, the plan will be submitted to the Director of the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management for certification. Written objections, comments, or statements of support shall be submitted to the Division of Coastal Management’s District Planner, Mike Christenbury at 127 Cardinal Drive Extension, Wilmington, NC 28405, no more than 30 calendar days after local adoption of the plan. Copies of the Land Use Plan are available for review by the public at the Kure Beach Town Hall (117 Settlers Lane Kure Beach, NC 28449) during normal office hours and on the Town’s website under “Administration Department” located at www.townofkurebeach.org/administration/documents-review.
