NOTICE OF FY 23-24 BUDGET HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Kure Beach Town Council will hold a Legislative Hearing for the purpose of receiving public comments on the proposed budget for FY23-24, as follows:
DATE: Monday, June 5, 2023
TIME: 5:00 p.m., or soon thereafter
PLACE: Kure Beach Town Hall
The proposed budget includes the following highlights:
- No proposed property tax rate increase
- No increase in monthly Storm Water fees
- 20% rate tier increase for Water/Sewer Rates
- Addition of two full-time employee in Fire Department
- Employee Compensation
- COLA: 8.7%
- Merit: 1.3%
A copy of the budget message and the proposed budget ordinance and fee schedule has been submitted to the governing body and is on file for public inspection in the office of the Town Clerk.
