Shoreline Access and Beach Protection Committee
The mission of the committee is to identify shoreline access needs of the town; identify existing beach access deficiencies; provide for protection and preservation projects for the beach and make recommendations to Town Council on how to meet future shoreline access needs.
The Kure Beach Adopt-A-Beach program is an initiative through the Shoreline Access and Beach Protection Committee. The program is an effort to provide a way for businesses, civic clubs, school groups, neighborhood associations and individuals to make a significant contribution to the preservation of our beautiful coastal environment. By participation, groups and individuals become strong advocates for the preservation of our beach community and the efforts to maintain a litter-free environment. To learn more about the program or to register, please visit the Adopt-A-Beach page by clicking here.
In recent years, the SLABP Committee has spearheaded the installation of new signage at the beach access points. Sponsorship opportunities are available on the beach facing side of these signs. If you're interested in getting your company's name, family name, a memorial, or message out to the community, please reach out to the Kure Beach Shoreline Access and Beach Protection Committee at KBSLABPcommittee@gmail.com to check availability.
