Our camp is designed to teach kids about ocean safety, how our lifeguards go through daily operations and provide some medical training which includes CPR and Basic First-Aid application. This is a fun-filled camp that is a great start for those looking to become lifeguards in the future. We have had a great turn-out rate of kids that go through the camp and then join our ocean rescue program later on down the road.

The camp is five-days long, going from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The kids can be dropped off at our lifeguard shack and picked up at the same location. The shack is located to the right of the pier house on Atlantic Avenue, right behind the Ocean View Restaurant. We provide snacks and drinks every day, but children are more than welcome to bring their own snacks. On Friday, the last day of each camp, we show a movie and have a pizza party during which the children receive their own Kure Beach Junior Lifeguard T-shirt.

***WE ADVISE that your child come equipped each day with his/her own bottle of sunscreen and a towel!

We hope that your child will come and join us this summer to have fun, make new friends and learn about our program. If you have any questions, please contact Ocean Rescue Director JD Lanier at (910) 620-5100.
