2015 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS INFORMATION
This year's municipal elections will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd and polls will be open for Kure Beach voters in the Kure Beach Town Hall Council Chambers from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm.
One-stop, early voting will only be held at the New Hanover County (NHC) Government Center this year, located at 230 Government Center Drive, Suite 39, in Wilmington. Polls for one-stop, early voting will be as follows:
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on October 22nd and 23rd and October 26th through the 30th
- 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on October 31st
Absentee By Mail voting begins on October 2nd and the ballots must be received by the NHC Board of Elections by 5:00 pm on November 3rd.
Kure Beach has one mayoral seat and two commissioner seats up for election. The following Kure Beach candidates will be listed on the ballot:
- MAYORAL RACE (pick one): Dean Lambeth (incumbent) and Emilie Swearingen
- COMMISSIONERS RACE (pick two): David Heglar (incumbent) and Joseph Whitley
Note: you will see John Ellen's name on the ballot for a commissioner's seat, but he has dropped out of the race.
