2023 ELECTION CANDIDATE FILING OPENS THIS FRIDAY, JULY 7, 2023

Notice is hereby given that the filing period for candidacy in the 2023 election will begin at the New Hanover County Board of Elections office at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7th and end at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21st. The office is located at 1241A Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington, and regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates for the Town of Kure Beach must pay a $24 filing fee and must be registered to vote in Kure Beach. The Town will need to fill one two-year Mayor term and two four-year Commissioner terms.
