JOE EAKES PARK BEING UTILIZED FOR U.S. POLICE CANINE ASSOCIATION FIELD TRIALS

The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office has been selected to host the United States Police Canine Association National Field Trials. This event takes place September 19-23, 2021, at locations in Wilmington, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach. Some of the best K-9 teams in the country will be competing.
 
The ball field at Joe Eakes Park in Kure Beach will be utilized for the agility trials. Teams will be there practicing starting Friday, September 17th between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The ball field will be closed to the public during that time, although the public is encouraged to watch from outside the fence.
