REGULAR COLLECTION SCHEDULE
Every Thursday, Public Works sends a trash truck around to dispose of bulk trash items that aren't accepted in your weekly garbage collection. If you have bulk trash items you'd like to dispose of, call Public Works to be placed on the collection schedule. Place your trash in front of your premises after sunset on Wednesday or before 7AM on Thursday. An extra fee will be charged for this service and will be included on your utility bill.
ACCEPTABLE TRASH ITEMS
Large trash items such as old furniture, yard debris and other miscellaneous items can be picked up. DO NOT bag your yard debris (brush) or mix it with other materials.
UNACCEPTABLE TRASH ITEMS
We DO NOT collect shingles, tires, asbestos/asbestos products, building materials, or Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) materials such as toxic, flammable, corrosive or reactive materials (pesticides, paint, used oil, antifreeze, fertilizers, batteries, electronic equipment and mercury-containg bulbs, lamps or thermostats). Information on the county's Hazardous Waste Collection sites and program can be found under on the Recycling webpage under SERVICES.
FREE CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP
Every year, during the first two weeks in January, Public Works will pickup your discarded Christmas tree FREE OF CHARGE. Please leave your tree on your property line for pickup during that time. If you place extra debris alongside of your tree for pickup, you will be charged the standard fee for removing the extra debris. Call Public Works if you have any questions.
