PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
The Town is accepting applications for one full time maintenance worker positions in the Public Works Department. Salary range is $31,756.14 to $37,337.56 depending on experience with a full benefit package. Work week is regularly Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with the exception of summer hours of 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Position is subject to on-call and call-back work. Work involves responsible semi-skilled maintenance, repair, and construction work on streets, buildings, grounds, water and sewer lines, and solid waste collection along with disposal of yard waste, appliances, and garbage. Position may operate construction equipment such as dump trucks, loaders and tampers. Requirements: High School diploma or GED required; Experience in semi-skilled maintenance or construction work, including heavy equipment operation; valid NC Driver's License.

Starting Salary: $48,000 - $52,000 based on training and experience
