Through the Lens: Birds of the Cape Fear Region
Join the Kure Beach Community Center Committee for an evening celebrating the amazing birdlife of the Cape Fear region, where field expertise meets stunning photography. This presentation brings together Cape Fear Bird Observatory co-founder Evan Buckland, naturalist Olivia Merritt FitzGerald, and local bird photographer Terri Chabot for a collaborative look at the birds that make this corner of North Carolina so special.
The program will spotlight individual species in and around the Cape Fear area, with each bird brought to life through Terri’s photography alongside insights from Evan and Olivia on behavior, habitat, migration, and conservation status. Whether you're a seasoned birder or simply a lover of the natural world, this is a rare opportunity to see familiar local birds through fresh eyes — and through a remarkable lens.
