Citizens of Kure Beach,
Roads have improved however, with the low temperatures this evening and early tomorrow morning, travel late this evening into tomorrow mid-morning will be hazardous. If you have to travel, proceed with caution and use extra caution at intersections. Even if you have the right of way, black ice could prevent crossing traffic from stopping and result in an accident. There have been no injuries due to weather so far, let's everyone get through this safely.
Town Hall will remain closed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 and will re-open on Wednesday at 9:00 am.
Trash pickup will be on Wednesday for everyone located south of K Avenue and Thursday for everyone north of K Avenue. Recycling will not be picked up this week, and will resume normal schedule next week.
