The filing period for persons wishing to file Notice of Candidacy for the office of Mayor or Commissioner is now open. Filings must be done at the new Hanover County Board of Elections, located at 226 Government Center Drive Wilmington, NC. Candidate Filing for the 2025 Municipal Elections is open till 12:00 pm on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Kure Beach Filing fee is $24.00.
The office of Mayor and two Council members will be filled in the November 4, 2025 election.
