Bike/Ped Committee - Need one full member
The Bike/Ped Committee is looking for a new member to join the Committee.
The Committee is looking for someone who:
- Loves outdoor activities on our Island
- Can attend meetings/events a few times a month-we are a working committee!
- Has patience to work through government processes
- Prioritizes the safety of pedestrians & people on bikes
- Is willing to attend educational events to learn more about safe transportation options
- Brings an open mind and teamwork attitude
- Has social media/computer skills (helpful but not required)
Community Center Committee - Need 3 full members and 2 alternate members
The Community Center Committee works closely with the Kure Beach Recreation Department to promote use of the Kure Beach Community Center for public enjoyment and benefit. They plan and implement various activities and programs throughout the year, such as ping pong, genealogy, lectures and more. They are also open to suggestions for new ideas and programs. This committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:30 am at Town Hall.
