CHEERMEISTER nominations open now through Monday, December 15th at 10:00 AM

As you start to unravel those holiday decorations, keep in mind you could enter your home into the 2025 Kure Beach Cheermeister house decorating contest. The Cheermeister winner is announced at the start of the annual Holiday Whoobie Whatty event, scheduled from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, December 19th this year.

The Kure Beach Cheermeister represents the most festively decorated home in Kure Beach, as voted by the public. If you would like to nominate your home, please submit the online form along with 2 photos of your decorated home by the deadline of 10:00 AM on Monday, December 15th. The Town will only accept self-nominations, as permission needs to be granted to publish the photos and street address for voting purposes.

HOLIDAY WHOOBIE WHATTY

The Kure Beach Holiday Whoobie Whatty returns on Friday, December 19th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Ocean Front Park. Don your best Whoville attire and join us for a Grinch-themed celebration. The evening kicks off with the announcing of the 2025 Kure Beach Cheermeister, followed by a viewing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. While the film is playing, you can visit different stations setup throughout the park for face painting, Grinch crafts, cookie decorating, and photos with the Grinch. Free popcorn and hot chocolate will be available compliments of Kure Beach First Baptist Church. Leo's Pizza Food Truck will be on site selling their delicious pizza. This event is free to attend, but the Town will be collecting donations for the Help Center of Federal Point.

A very special THANK YOU goes out to our 2025 Event Sponsors: Renewal by Andersen, Civic Federal Credit Union, Publix, and Kure Beach First Baptist Church. We would also like to thank our friends from the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher for volunteering their time to help us at this event.
