FOOD DRIVE
The Season of Giving food drive for the Help Center of Federal Point is continues through Friday, December 19th. We will be making our first delivery of items, specifically Christmas Basket items, next Tuesday. Items of ongoing need include peanut butter/jelly, macaroni & cheese, canned meats (chicken/tuna/corn beef hash/etc.), cereal, canned fruits/vegetables/beans, pasta/pasta sauce, and one can meals (ravioli/spaghetti/etc.). If you're cleaning out your pantry, please ensure all items are still within their use by date. The food pantry cannot accept items past their expiration date.

TOY DRIVE
Town Hall and the Fire Department are collection sites for Toys for Tots this holiday season. If you wish to make a donation of a new, unwrapped toy - please swing by during business hours and leave the donation in the collection bin located in the lobby. Current Town Hall lobby hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM. Donation collection will take place through Friday, December 12th. The Toys for Tots organization does not accept toy guns of any kind. You can also bring a cash or toy donation to the Town table at the Kure Beach Holiday Market the next two Saturdays and receive entry into our Toys for Tots raffle. Their is a separate raffle basket each Saturday of the event and each basket will contain a dozen or more items donated by our talented vendors at the Market. The Town booth will be located at the top of the ramp going into the Ocean Front Park pavilion during the events.
If you wish to make a financial donation to either organization, please place your donation in an envelope in the lock box located in Town Hall parking lot. They can accept cash, check, or money order and all checks/money orders should be made out to The Help Center or Toys for Tots.
HOUSE DECORATING CONTEST
As you start to unravel those holiday decorations, keep in mind you could enter your home into the 2025 Kure Beach Cheermeister house decorating contest. The Cheermeister winner is announced at the start of the annual Holiday Whoobie Whatty event, scheduled from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, December 19th this year.
The Kure Beach Cheermeister represents the most festively decorated home in Kure Beach, as voted by the public. If you would like to nominate your home, please submit the online form along with 2 photos of your decorated home by the deadline of 10:00 AM on Monday, December 15th. The Town will only accept self-nominations, as permission needs to be granted to publish the photos and street address for voting purposes.

HOLIDAY WHOOBIE WHATTY
The Kure Beach Holiday Whoobie Whatty returns on Friday, December 19th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Ocean Front Park. Don your best Whoville attire and join us for a Grinch-themed celebration. The evening kicks off with the announcing of the 2025 Kure Beach Cheermeister, followed by a viewing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. While the film is playing, you can visit different stations setup throughout the park for face painting, Grinch crafts, cookie decorating, and photos with the Grinch. Free popcorn and hot chocolate will be available compliments of Kure Beach First Baptist Church. Leo's Pizza Food Truck will be on site selling their delicious pizza. This event is free to attend, but the Town will be collecting donations for the Help Center of Federal Point.
