Citizens of Kure Beach,
The Town was notified yesterday by the U.S Army Corps of Engineers of changes to the CSRM project. Currently the project has been modified and will resume sand placement in February of 2026. We have been assured that the project will be completed by the April 30, 2026 contract deadline. We are currently working with the Corp of Engineers to schedule a public meeting with Carolina Beach that will explain in more details the reason for the changes. As we receive additional information we will update our message on the Town website.
