Kure Beach Residents,
The Town received over 6" of snow overnight. NCDOT HAS NOT gotten to the south part of the county and our roadways require at least 4 wheel drive with clearance this morning. Multiple vehicles are already stuck at the intersection of K Avenue and Fort Fisher Blvd. DO NOT travel unless absolutely necessary. Attempting to drive will result in abandoned vehicles and having to WALK HOME, which prevents NCDOT from safely plowing the roads.
Enjoy the snow safely. With snow everywhere, staying around your home is just as good as going anywhere else.
