75TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION STREET FESTIVAL
It was April 5, 1947 that the Town of Kure Beach became a municipality, marking 2022 as the 75th Anniversary. As a result, the Kure Beach Town Council has adopted a “Celebration Proclamation” that declares April 2022 as a month in which to honor and celebrate this 75th Anniversary milestone.

Saturday, April 9th - Kure-ous Reflections
Community Center ~ 10:30 AM-12:30 PM: Historic displays and presentations, coordinated by the Community Center Committee
Saturday, April 9th - Bicycle & Pedestrian Traffic Garden
Town Hall ~ 12 - 4 PM: Scaled down traffic features and roadway elements for cyclists and pedestrians to practice in an environment free of motor vehicles as well as other safe cycling and pedestrian related items/giveaways, coordinated by the Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee
Friday, April 22nd - Earth Day Coastal Clean & Big Screen
Ocean Front Park ~ 6 - 9:30 PM: Beach Sweep and viewing of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax (2012), coordinated by the Shoreline Access & Beach Protection Committee
Friday, April 29th - Big Band Bash
Ocean Front Park ~ 7 - 9 PM: Big band concert of music from the 40's/50's, attendees encouraged to dress from the era
Saturday, April 30th - Street Festival
Ocean Front Park/Downtown Kure Beach ~ 11 AM - 5 PM: live music and performers, children's and family activities with local businesses, groups, and non-profits, games, raffles, food vendors
