Kure Beach Street Festival

Saturday, April 30th wraps ups the 75th Anniversary Celebration with the annual Street Festival event at Ocean Front Park and downtown Kure Beach. The fun kicks off at 11 AM and continues through 5 PM. Carl Newton’s Review will be laying down the funk from the main stage throughout the day, with additional children’s entertainment from Mr. Scooter (12:15-1 PM) and No Sleeves Magic (2:30-3:30 PM). Warm up your throwing arm at the dunk tank to send a Kure Beach Firefighter into the bilge, keep your brain sharp as you attempt to break civil war secret codes, set your inner engineer free with some Lego construction, or simply stroll the streets of downtown KB to see the array of activities provided by our local businesses, non-profit organizations, local groups, and more. When you work up an appetite, visit one of our delicious restaurants or food vendors on site. And be sure to check out the raffle baskets up for grabs under the pavilion.

There’s lots to do to keep you entertained and celebrate the beauty and wonder of Kure Beach. Events of this scale would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. The Town would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the following sponsors: Sunrise Broadcasting, Civic Federal Credit Union, The Island Men, Adam’s Beverage, Duke Energy, Island Women, Judy Younts, Sea Tow Wrightsville Beach, Wells Construction Corp, Coconut Jack's Tours, Edward Teach Brewing, Engineering Services, P.A., Ida Thai Cuisine, Ned M Barnes Attorney At Law, Scentsy Consultant - Megan Geer, and Squigley's Ice Cream & Treats. Be sure to show them some love.

The Town has waived paid parking enforcement in all public parking spaces for the day. We look forward to seeing you in April!

Road Closures: There will be road closures downtown in order to accommodate this event. K Avenue east of Fort Fisher Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue between K Avenue will be closed from the early morning hours on Saturday through 7 PM Saturday evening.
