The Kure Beach Fire Department uses a combination of full time, part time, and volunteer firefighters under the direction of the Fire Chief.  We use the same ranking structure and requirements for both paid staff and volunteers.  We use the following rank structure within the department:

Fire Chief

Deputy Fire Chief

Captain

Lieutenant

Engineer

Firefighter

Every day, we have 4 paid staff at the fire station 24 hours a day, through the use of 3 separate shifts. Some of our paid staff also have multiple positions within the department.  Our current officer positions are below:

Fire Chief- Edmund Kennedy

A Shift Captain- Daniel Russell
