IMPORTANT NOTICE OF RESCHEDULED TOWN COUNCIL MEETING FOR JOE EAKES PARK PUBLIC INPUT

This notice is to inform citizens that the Town Council Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. has been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. The meeting is being rescheduled so citizens have the opportunity to attend the Candidate Forum being hosted by the WECT/PCD/WHQR in Wilmington.

The purpose of the Special meeting is to seek public input on potential Joe Eakes Park renovations.

Alfred Benesch & Company (Benesch) is providing initial consulting services to the Town for the potential renovation of Joe Eakes Park. Utilizing data from the public surveys conducted for the Sandman property and the Land Use Plan, public comments from the Sandman Park public input session, and public comments made to Town Council and Staff, they have created a preliminary sketch for the proposed Joe Eakes Park renovation project.
