Plans are currently underway for all the signature Kure Beach fall and holiday events. Below you’ll find a summary of the upcoming events, and specific details for each event will soon be available on the Town online calendar. Save the dates for those events you don’t want to miss – we’re looking forward to festive and fun times ahead!

Halloween Story Time by the Sea – Saturday, October 18th from 10-11:30am

The Princesses return for a special Halloween version of Story Time by the Sea! Dress up in your favorite costume and join Fairytales and Dreams by the Sea for a magical morning of storytelling and crafts with Halloween Flair. Don’t forget your camera/

Kure Beach Holiday Market – Saturday, November 18th and 25th from 9am-3pm

Support local artists, crafters, and food vendors while checking off that holiday shopping list. Bring a new, unwrapped toy or cash donation for Toys for Tots to enter the raffle for an incredible basket of goods donated by participating vendors.

The Town is no longer accepting vendor applications for this event.

Community Center Crafts & Cookies – Sunday, December 3rd from 1-4pm

Join members of the Kure Beach Community Center Committee for a lighted globe craft project and homemade cookie exchange event.

Holiday Whoobie Whatty – Friday, December 15th from 6:30-8:30pm

Don your best Whoville attire for a Grinch-themed celebration. The evening kicks off with the announcing of the 2023 Kure Beach Cheermeister, followed by a viewing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” While the film is playing visit different stations setup throughout the park for face painting, Grinch crafts, cookie decorating, and photos with the Grinch.

Holiday Story Time by the Sea – Saturday, December 16th from 11am-12:30pm

Another visit from the Princesses of Fairytales and Dreams by the Sea for a magical morning of Christmas themed stories and crafts.

Island of Lights New Year’s Eve Celebration – Sunday, December 31st starting at 9pm

Kure Beach hosts this year’s Island of Lights New Year’s Eve celebration. Festivities kick off at 9pm. The lighted beach ball drops at midnight, followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
